Fuel Dock — Kura Kura Marina

As of 2026, the fuel dock at Kura Kura Marina is planned as a dedicated bunkering berth inside the international marina now under construction on Serangan Island, with works having started in April 2025. Until the dock is commissioned, visiting yachts can already arrange yacht fuel in Bali through licensed marine suppliers who deliver by fuel truck or mini-tanker around Serangan and Benoa. The BD desk coordinates quotes, scheduling, and clearance paperwork for both interim deliveries and future fuel-dock bookings.

The Dock as Planned

Thanks to the KEK Special Economic Zone status, the Kura Kura Marina fuel dock is planned to offer duty-free marine diesel and premium fuel — a significant cost advantage for yacht owners and charter operators cruising Indonesian waters. High-flow fuel delivery systems are intended to ensure rapid refuelling for vessels of all sizes.

  • Available 24 hours, 7 days
  • Diesel and petrol supply
  • Duty-free fuel pricing (KEK benefit)
  • Fast-fill capacity for superyachts
02 Planned supply

What Fuel Types Will Be Available at the Fuel Dock?

The bunkering berth is being designed to serve everything from tenders to visiting superyachts calling at the Kura Kura Marina basin. Planned supply covers:

  • Marine diesel (HSD/MGO class) The standard fuel for motor yachts, sailing yachts, and superyacht generators.
  • High-cetane, lower-sulphur diesel (Pertamina Dex class) Recommended for modern common-rail engines that are sensitive to fuel quality.
  • Gasoline (RON 92–98) For tenders, RIBs, and personal watercraft.
  • Filtered, metered delivery In-line filtration and calibrated meters, with fuel samples retained on request.

Final pump flow rates, filtration standards, and hose reach will be published once the dock is commissioned — always request current availability before arrival.

04 The sequence

How Does Yacht Bunkering Work in Bali?

Yacht bunkering in Bali follows a straightforward sequence, whether at a dock or alongside at anchor:

  1. Book 48–72 hours ahead

Confirm volume, fuel grade, delivery window, and payment terms in writing.

  2. Share vessel documents

Registration, clearance status, and agent details so the supplier can prepare compliant paperwork.

  3. Delivery

Fuel truck at the berth for most yachts, or mini-tanker/barge alongside for larger parcels.

  4. Verification

Tank soundings before and after, metered readings, and a signed bunker delivery note.

Safety protocol: no smoking or hot work during transfer, spill kit and containment on standby, crew stationed at vents and shut-offs, and radios on a working channel throughout. Duty and tax notes: subsidised retail diesel is not lawfully available to foreign-flagged yachts — order industrial/marine-rate fuel through licensed suppliers only. Tax treatment varies with vessel status and supplier licensing, so ask for the VAT and duty position in writing with every quote rather than assuming an exemption.

05 Until the dock opens

Where Can Yachts Refuel While the Marina Completes Construction?

Until the fuel dock opens, three practical options cover most itineraries as of 2026:

  • Truck delivery at Benoa Harbour The most common route for yachts berthed or provisioning in south Bali.
  • Mini-tanker or barge at anchorage For superyachts taking larger parcels near Serangan or Benoa roads.
  • Strategic bunkering en route Many superyachts load major volumes in Singapore before cruising Indonesia, then top up in Bali as needed.
